What's New

Version 1.1

What's new, better and fixed in Meelio 1.1.

New

  • The assistant reads files from the EHR chart. Ask about a PDF or image in the patient's EHR chart and the assistant opens and reads the file itself, then adds it to the patient's documents. See Files in the EHR Chart.
  • Send notes to Cliniko. For practices on Cliniko that Meelio has switched it on for, Send to Cliniko puts your notes into the patient's Cliniko chart as one treatment note, saved as a draft or a final note. See Sending Notes to Cliniko.
  • Give the assistant a personality and a name. Choose how it writes its chat replies to you — Balanced, Colleague, Efficient or Encouraging — and, if you like, give it a name of your own. See Personality.
  • Several chats at once. Leave a chat while the assistant is answering and carry on elsewhere. The sidebar shows which chats are still working, which have a new response and which failed. See Seeing Which Chats Are Working.
  • Stop a reply. Once the assistant is answering, the Send button becomes Stop. What it wrote so far stays, and you can type your next message straight away. See Stopping a Reply.
  • Approve meal plans in the chart. You can now approve a meal plan from the patient's Meal Plans tab as well as from the chat, and the approval is kept. A plan that is changed afterwards goes back to Draft, so you can review it again. See Approving a Meal Plan.
  • A separate switch for skills the assistant writes. Practice admins can now decide on their own whether the assistant may save and revise skills, apart from whether it may choose them. See Practice Controls.

Better

  • Skills saved from a patient's chat stay general. When the assistant saves or revises a skill in a conversation about a patient, the skill is checked against that patient, and one that carries their history, results or dates is not saved. See The Patient-Information Check.
  • Removed and archived members are signed out at once, and the sign-in screen tells them why. See Team Management.
  • An error screen instead of a white window. If a page fails to display, Meelio shows a screen with a button to reload it, and the rest of the app keeps working. See Common Errors.
  • Coming Up looks two weeks ahead, instead of one. See Upcoming Appointments.
  • Custom AI prompts have been removed. Use Personality, Skills and Templates instead. See Personality.

Fixed

  • Coming Up no longer empties when Meelio stays open for days. It now stays current without restarting the app.
  • Updates: if a newer version comes out while an update is waiting, Meelio installs the newer one when you restart. On macOS, Meelio now comes back to the front after an update restart instead of opening behind other windows. See Updating Meelio.
  • Long questions in chat: a turn that had the assistant read very long documents could fail with "AI service is temporarily unavailable". The assistant now keeps what it reads in one turn within its limits, and if a request is still too large it says so and suggests a narrower question. See Common Errors.
  • Practice Better forms with certain kinds of answers were left out of the patient's documents and the pre-consult report. They are now read. See Practice Better.
  • Password-protected PDFs are marked Failed at once instead of being retried again and again. See Documents & Labs.
  • Right-clicking a tab could make the app crash. A skill that was just shared with your practice now shows in the skill picker without reloading.
  • Collapsed chat sidebar: the New chat button did nothing. It now opens a new chat.
  • Recording notes: the notes box grows as you type instead of hiding text behind a scrollbar.
